The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Financial Analyst II - Consumer is responsible for financial analysis and reporting in support of business segment priorities throughout the organization.
This position is aligned with the Consumer Line of Business and accountable to provide financial reporting and business metrics that supports the strategic direction and financial objectives of the business.
Responsibilities of this position include monthly close reporting, business metric dashboards, profitability reporting, along with partnering with Finance leadership on forecasting and annual strategic planning.
This position performs these responsibilities while partnering with key Finance and Consumer stakeholders while managing risk.
Primary Responsibilities Supports the Consumer Line of Business and Consumer Products with financial reporting and data analytics:
Provides financial reporting and data analytics for monthly close, forecast, and annual planning process.
Partners with Finance leadership to identify areas to improve business performance and add shareholder value.
Develops and reports on key business metrics in alignment with the Consumer strategic objectives.
Builds and maintains routine pipeline reporting with adequacy targets to achieve financial production goals.
Generates reporting to provide clarity into consumer relationship depth and profitability and product profitability, while maintaining data structure for reporting accuracy.
Ensures alignment between Corporate Finance, Accounting, Member Bank Finance, and Consumer Business Analytics on single source of truth financial information and analysis provided.
Maintains and supports an FP&A reporting structure that aligns with the financial objectives of the Consumer Line of Business:
Creates financial reporting for the Consumer business that is consistent across the Member Banks and specialty segments that provides visibility into monthly financial results, forecast projections, plan performance, productivity, and business metrics.
Maintains hierarchies that support financial reporting at the entity, account, and product levels for close, forecast, and plan.
Integrates business metrics and pipeline reporting into financial reporting structure.
Builds and maintains product reporting structure to provide clarity into product financial performance and profitability.
Establishes and maintains centralized FP&A reporting environment for Consumer and Member Bank leadership and ensures reporting accuracy in the information provided.
Provides financial partnership and support to Consumer business and Finance leadership:
Partners with Finance leadership to establish presentations for the Consumer business and Member Bank leadership, providing insight into financial performance and achievement of strategic financial objectives.
Establishes pipeline reporting and line of business feedback process to inform the forecast and plan.
Provides Retail Branch staffing and productivity targets to support the annual planning process.
Supports Consumer and Member Bank leadership with details driving financial results, business drivers, and production/pipeline levels.
Partners with Finance leadership to provide suggestions and insights to enhance financial performance of the Consumer Line of Business.
Maintains and updates Retail Branch, MLO and Private Banking dashboards for Consumer incentive compensation results.
Communicates financial analysis and issues in a clear and concise manner to Consumer and Finance partners.
Completes annual E-Learning Plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training as assigned and keeps up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it relates to the job function.
