Full-time position: Will be a four 10-hr days with two days per week working until 7 pm at Algonquin Rehab Dept. 600 South Randall Road, Algonquin, IL; Prior experience with EPIC EMR is highly desirable but not required; Candidate must be enthusiastic, flexible, resilient, self-starter, collaborative and take pride in providing patient-centered care.
OFFERING A $5000 SIGN-ON BONUS PAYABLE IN TWO INSTALLMENTS 50% UPON HIRE; 50% AFTER ONE YEAR
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or above from an accredited school.
Eligible for licensure to practice in the State of Illinois
CPR certification
Maintains continuing education requirements as mandated by professional standards
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Competent in a variety of diagnostic and treatment techniques
Recognizes needs and behaviors of specific age groups of patients treated
May be exposed to hazardous materials and life threatening diseases.
Direct contact with body fluids.
Pushing, pulling, lifting, and transferring patients.
Ability to assist, escort, transfer, and respond to patient needs for extended periods of time.
May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
(Full time/part time staff coming on board at Advocate Sherman have the minimum requirement of working one weekend shift per month and one holiday/year in the inpatient setting.
Associates hired specifically for the outpatient setting must be available to work until 7:00 p.m. two evenings per week in adjunct to the inpatient rehab requirement aforementioned).
This requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 08/01/2014. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case by case basis.
