Credit and Collections Clerk

General Summary of Duties:
Responsible for performing patron's credit verifications and all other Credit/Collections duties.
Typical Physical/Mental Demands:
Requires prolonged standing or sitting and mobility; requires lifting up to thirty (30) pounds; reaching and bending; eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity; use of a computer, calculator and telephone; work accurately with basic math; communicates directly, telephonically, electronically with patrons, management and staff in English; normal vision and hearing range; understands and complies with the policies and procedures, job description and other instructions.
Typical Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office environment and on the casino floor; Team Member and guest contact is required; ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, and illumination.
Example of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):
Understand and adhere to Grand Victoria Casino and Cage & Credit Operations standards, policies and proceduresObtain a strong understanding of the Internal Control Systems (ICS) and Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS)Maintains patron's credit filesPerforms patron's credit verificationsPerforms daily central credit functionsPerforms duties and responsibilities associated with the Illinois Gaming Board Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion ProgramPerform all tasks that may be assigned in the future.
Performance Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities):
Ability to read, write and speak in English; basic knowledge of computers; knowledge of Credit/Collections functions; basic math; maintain a sound relationship with the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB), as well as an effective working relationship with management, co-workers and other departments; display a high level of confidentiality and integrity at all times; capacity to work well with others and handle stressful situations with ease; possess effective listening skills; ability to work in a stressful, high volume, energetic atmosphere; ability to work flexible shifts.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED requiredIn addition, one-year prior administrative support experience is preferred.
Certificate/License:
Level 3 Occupational License with the Illinois Gaming Board.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
