The Customer Service Representative manages order process from receipt to delivery for their assigned customers and has ownership of the entire transaction as well as problem resolutions.
Functions of the Position:
Responsible for executing the order management process for assigned customers.
Follows up on any internal delays and communicates delays/opportunities/changes to brokers and/or customers.
Processes orders from both assigned and unassigned customers and sets up new accounts.
Ensures all order revisions are scanned same day as receipt to avoid billing delays.
Communicates with brokers, customers, and JBSS business managers on an on-going basis to address questions, issues, or concerns on all orders and customer service opportunities.
Develops strong relationships with business managers and customers.
Communicates with cross-functional teams in order to full-fill customer orders.
Schedules at minimum quarterly meetings with assigned business manager to share best practices and gain customer insights.
Maintains special instructions on all accounts that have special handling and maintains updated customer profiles.
Ensures information is updated and current at all times.
Actively cross trains back-ups to ensure best in class customer service during peak season or when out of office occurs.
Processes returns, credits, re-bills, etc.
for both assigned and unassigned customers as needed.
Communicates with cross- functional teams to help complete the process.
Assists team members by answering their phones when they are away from their desk, takes messages, and processes their orders as needed.
Qualifications:
Education, Experience, and Knowledge:
Associate degree in business related area or at least two years of prior customer service experience required.
Experience in a consumer package goods company related role desired.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Telephone and good listening skills are essential.
Diplomatic, tactful, and professional demeanor.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage time effectively, adapt quickly, and multi-task.
Team player and able to build strong relationships with external and internal groups.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Intermediate Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Work, Outlook) skills Mainframe Systems and reporting skills.
