5-month position of Middle School (9-12) Administrative Assistant starting on August 1, 2023.
The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities The Middle School (5-8) Administrative Assistant reports to the Assistant Head of School for Academic Affairs (AHOS).
This person's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
Maintaining strict confidentiality Greeting and assisting students, parents, faculty, and visitors Answering phones, checking and responding to voice mails, directing calls, and responding to inquiries Tracking and rectifying daily student attendance through faculty reporting in Powerschool and parent contact Facilitating student sign-in and sign-out procedures during the school day Recording and communicating which Middle School students will be staying for the extended day program Coordinating substitute teachers for the Middle School faculty Collecting and maintaining required Middle School forms Collecting and maintaining required Middle School medical and immunization records Generating grade reports for distribution to students, parents, advisors, and files Maintaining physical and computerized academic records Responding to requests for transfer of student files to other schools Assisting with the coordination of 8th-Grade Graduation and other MS activities Assisting students with minor health issues Providing students with necessary medications and keeping timely, meticulous records about these interactions Ordering supplies and maintaining the supply closet Delivering outgoing mail to the Upper School office daily and distributing incoming mail to faculty mailboxes Performing additional administrative and clerical duties as directed by the AHOS Desirable Characteristics An associate's degree is required; a bachelor's degree and/or previous school employment experience is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with or be a quick study in the following software:
Powerschool, Google Apps for Education, and Finalsite.
