Posting Identification Number 10-81-28922 Position Overview The Division of Mental Health is seeking to hire an Account Technician I for the Elgin Mental Health Center located in Elgin, Illinois to perform duties utilizing technical accounting and auditing principles.
Verifies a variety of complex financial documents such as vouchers, invoices, requisitions which may require cross-reference with contractual agreements or other documents.
Initiates corrective action on complex invoice problems with vendors and maintains good public relations.
Job Responsibilities 1.
Performs duties utilizing technical accounting and auditing principles.
2.
Compiles and organizes orders for the purchase of security officer clothing on a quarterly basis.
3.
Collects and organizes Procurement Services Division (PSDs) for the purchase of patient food.
4.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications 1.
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of college and completion of an approved training course.
Or Three (3) years of related clerical bookkeeping experience.
Conditions of Employment 1.
Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers.
2.
Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
3.
Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
4.
Requires ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
