Posting Identification Number 10-81-28202 Position Overview The Division of Mental Health is seeking to hire an Account Technician I for the Elgin Mental Health Center located in Elgin, Illinois to post all receipts, disbursements and credit memos for the Patient Trust Fund, Activity Fund, Facility Auxiliary Fund, Living Skills, Workshop and Patient Travel Accounts.
Maintains personal property files.
Performs daily transactions at both the Forensic Building and Trust Fund Office, including debit cards and commissary for workshop.
Answers telephone calls relating to patients' trust fund.
Job Responsibilities 1.
Posts all receipts, disbursements and credit memos for the Patient Trust Fund, Activity Fund, Facility Auxiliary Fund, Living Skills, Workshop and Patient Travel Accounts.
2.
Receives, deposits, and disburses all monies for the facility held fund.
3.
Answers telephone calls relating to patients' trust fund.
4.
Maintains personal property files.
5.
Records and updates patient daily population census report.
6.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications 1.
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two years of college and completion of an approved training course or three years of related clerical bookkeeping experience.
