Job Summary We are seeking candidates for the full-time position of Middle School (5-8) Math/Science teacher to start in August 2023.
This teacher will be responsible for teaching several sections of mathematics (through Algebra I) and science.
They will be an advisor to a group of students.
They will also be encouraged to play a leadership role in co-curricular activities such as coaching athletics or sponsoring student organizations.
Desirable Characteristics A bachelor's degree in mathematics, science, or a comparable field is required; an advanced degree and/or previous independent school teaching experience is a plus.
Candidates will be expected to aspire to the Elgin Academy Characteristics of Professional Excellence, in which teachers promise to:
